Rachel S. Barstow, M.Ed.

As The Children’s Center for Communication Assistant Program Director it is my responsibility to assist the Director in the management of the academic programs of the school and for the cooperative supervision of teaching and support faculty. I also provide direct support to the classrooms, students, and faculty. As the school continues to grow and flourish, it is my personal goal to continue to support our exceptional faculty and contribute to providing our students with the technology and creative academic programming required to meet their unique learning needs.

I have an undergraduate degree from The University of Massachusetts in Communication Disorders and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Salem State University.  I worked as an SLP/A at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (Salem Hospital) prior to starting at CCCBSD in 2008 as a member of the Speech Language Pathology Team. After a year I transitioned into the classroom, teaching for 4 years . In 2013 I became the CCC Assistant Program Director.

When not with my CCCBSD family, I enjoy spending time with my husband, 2 children, family and friends.
