American Sign Language (ASL) is one of the most common languages in the United States and is the language most embraced by the Deaf community. ASL can be used in a wide range of settings or situations such as in your job, in school or socially. Classes focus on basic vocabulary, fingerspelling, and strategies with Deaf adults and children, incorporating facial expression into communication, Deaf culture and basic grammatical structures.
For adults ages 16 and up. Special exceptions may be made for ages 6 to 15. Please inquire about this possibility.
We are excited to introduce new and improved and customized ASL Classes!
The ASL team is now offering to develop special ASL classes for a group of 5 or more (paying) people from the community. This class may better meet the needs of families, schools, community organizations, etc., who would like to learn as a group. Please e-mail ASL@cccbsd.org for more information.
