DESCRIPTION:Join Us for Our  Community Carnival! \nWe are excited to invite our school community and the greater community to a fun\, inclusive\, and accessible Community Carnival for all ages! This joyful event is designed to be welcoming to everyone\, with ASL interpreters provided throughout the day to ensure full access. \nThe carnival will feature a variety of activities\, including games\, face painting\, ASL story time\, and a petting zoo\, along with live performances in the afternoon and evening. There will be something for everyone to enjoy\, whether you’re stopping by for a short visit or spending the whole day with us. Bring your family\, friends\, and neighbors and come celebrate community\, inclusion\, and fun. We can’t wait to see you there! \n\n \n\n\nJJ Jones – Deaf Mime – 1:00 showtime\n James “JJ” Jones was born in Kansas City\, Missouri and has been deaf since birth\, but can partially hear with his hearing aid.  He first discovered “pantomime” at an early age by watching the Red Skelton Show\, which was not telecaptioned (cc) at that time.  “JJ” first performed mime in school around the age of 10.\n\n“JJ” learned more mime just before he graduated from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (N.T.I.D.) in Rochester\, NY.  While there\, he attended many mime workshops by Claude Kipnis\, Keith Berger\, Dimitri\, Bernard Bragg (from the National Theatre of the Deaf)\, Francisco Reynders (Marcel Marceau’s classmate) and many other mime artists.  “JJ” improved his mime skills by observing the famous mime artist\, Marcel Marceau.  “JJ” fulfilled one of his lifelong dreams by meeting his role models Red Skelton and Marcel Marceau in person. \n“JJ” performs mime programs ranging from street mime to multimedia presentations.https://jjmime.com \n\n\n\n\nJay Larkin is a lively and engaging musician whose love for music and family shines through every performance. A guitarist and singer active in the Maine music scene\, Jay is known for his energetic solo shows and as a member of the popular Maine band SKOSH. \n\nAs the father of a daughter with Autism\, Jay brings a deeply personal and joyful perspective to his work. He has a special passion for singing children’s songs and creating inclusive\, fun musical experiences that resonate with kids and families of all abilities.
