The Children’s Center for Communication/ Beverly School for the Deaf (CCCBSD) is seeking a full-time Educational Interpreter, working on campus, in the community and in mainstream settings. This position includes generous holiday and vacation schedules, benefits, 403b retirement plan, and a competitive salary. Full-Time- 37.5 hours/week; following a public school calendar and daily schedule for a northshore technical high school in Danvers. As an employee of CCCBSD you will have support and resources from our interpreting department while supporting a student in Essex Tech.
Candidate will have an Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree preferred, from an accredited college or university, with coursework in interpreting, education, Deaf education, special education, communication disorders, or early-childhood preferred. Previous successful experience in an academic setting is highly preferred. In addition, the candidate must show evidence of EIPA certification, National Certification, or approval from the Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Should the candidate not possess an EIPA certification score of at least 3.5, he/she must obtain the certification within one (1) year of hire to comply with Massachusetts State regulations.
