John Hall

John is retired from a career in banking. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President & Division Manager of the Commercial Banking Division at Salem Five Bank in Salem, MA. Prior to joining Salem Five, John had a 28-year career at Shawmut Bank in Boston He served as President and C.O.O of Shawmut County Bank in Cambridge and later held  several executive management positions in commercial banking, private banking and retail banking. He is a graduate of Norwich University, earned a MBA degree from Babson College and completed the PMD Program at the Harvard Business School. John is also a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves.

He resides in Beverly, MA with his wife, Nancy, and he has actively served many non-profit and charitable organizations on the North Shore. He is a Past District Governor of Rotary International, Past-Chairman of the North Shore Chamber of Commerce, Past-President of The Salem Partnership and Past Chairman of the North Shore Children’s Hospital. Currently, he actively serves as President of the Board of Directors of Camp O-AT-KA, Inc., a non-profit boys camp in Sebago. ME.
