Beverly School for the Deaf
At age 14, a Transition Plan is developed as part of each student’s IEP. Students are given vocational opportunities on our campus and in the community to practice appropriate work and independent living skills. Our staff works closely with therapists on skills to carry over into the classroom and beyond. Our students vocational experiences learned at school frequently lead to paid work and long-term placements.
We currently have students working in paid placements areas – Colleges, Restaurants and local food pantries.
