Rachel Barstow, M.Ed, Ed.S.

CCC Education Director

As the Children’s Center for Communication Education Director, it is my responsibility to manage the academic programs of the school and the cooperative supervision of teaching and support faculty. It is my personal goal to support our professional staff and families as we provide our students with individualized educational services to meet their unique learning needs.

I have an undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders, a Master’s Degree in Special Education, and an Education Specialist Degree in Special Education Administration. I worked as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a rehabilitation hospital for 3 years prior to transitioning to CCCBSD.  While at the school, I have held roles as a SLPA and teacher in transition-aged, elementary, and middle school classrooms. In 2013 I became the CCC Assistant Program Director and in 2019 the CCC Education Director.

Outside of school, I enjoy time with my husband, 2 children, family, and friends. I enjoy baking (and watching people bake on the Food Network), listening to music, reading, and exploring the shores and trails of the North Shore.
