My name is Ellen Lane. I have been at The Children’s Center for Communication / The Beverly School for the Deaf since 2014. I have a Master’s in Severe Disabilities Special Education from Endicott College. This year the paraprofessionals in my classroom are Matt Durand and Jill White. My educational interests include low vision, medically complex, and Deaf or Hard of Hearing students with physical needs. I enjoy creating multi-sensory tactile materials and academic experiences that are tailor-made to meet all of my students’ individual needs.
Our class is a pre-school class comprised of students ages 3-4 years old.
This year, all of our pre-school classes are using the theme of A Storybook Journey as a road map to access our curriculum.
Starting in September 2018, and continuing for the rest of the school year, our academic themes will include “All About Me,” Children Around the World, Community Helpers, and Animals. Alongside those themes on our Storybook Journey, we will continue to focus on the students’ individual goals and needs.
