Hello! I am Shari McLeod, and I grew up in the Berkshires in Western Mass. I have had several careers before focusing on special education 8 years ago. These include paralegal, bakery owner for 10 years, and working in DMH residential programs. I have a psychology background and am a registered behavior technician. I am fascinated by human behavior.
Our class includes 4 students aged 9-11, and 3 paraprofessionals: Matthew Durand, Gabby Frederick, and Danny Cambra.
Our curriculum this year has included learning about family structures, studying cultures in Italy, Ghana, and China, learning about ourselves, and community helpers.
My students enjoy reading books from the websites Epic!, interactive learning on HelpKidzLearn, ActivInspire, and Clicker7 Sentences.
We will be starting a new Science Unit in January that includes Recycling, Design, and Growing Plants.
We always need soft tissues and extra snacks.
