The Educational Outreach program supports deaf or hard-of-hearing (DHH) children, their families, and their educational teams in public, private, and home-based settings across the North Shore region. Services are available to children using any mode of communication. Direct service, consultation, assessment, and training can focus on language acquisition, literacy, academics, self-advocacy, management of hearing assistive technology, social-emotional skills, and more. Our Outreach providers make recommendations regarding language acquisition, educational accommodations and modifications, support services, and placement. We also offer Community Outreach programming including Community ASL Classes, adaptive sports leagues for children of all ages and abilities, and more.
