International Sign Language Day
September 23, 2019: International Day of Sign Language. This day recognizes the importance of sign language and services in sign language. In recognition of this day, we are asking staff and students to wear ASL or fingerspelling clothing or jewelry.
Deaf Awareness Week
September 23-27, 2019: Deaf Awareness Week. A variety of activities are planned for classroom students and staff to attend.
Microcephaly Awareness Day (recognized)
September 27, 2019: Microcephaly Awareness Day (recognized on Monday, September 30th - no school). To show support for our students and families with microcephaly, increase understanding and education about microcephaly in the community, and celebrate our students’ individuality and amazing abilities, we are asking staff and students to wear yellow to raise awareness for microcephaly.
